Parent Committee

Have your say on your child's care
Billabong is a community educational institute governed by a board of parents supporting quality service. Parents/guardians are encouraged to participate in the operation of Billabong by joining the Parent Committee. At an annual AGM we select our committee members who take different responsible roles according to their qualifications, experience, and skills. Each committee member is given a committee member handbook specifying the role and responsibility of their duties. We have monthly or bi-monthly meetings and, if and when necessary, call for a special meeting to discuss any concerns or issues if and when they arise. This is an ongoing practice at our centre. At the AGM, an independent auditor’s report is tabled, along with a financial analysis by the treasurer.
